“To thrive in this business, you have to be able to do it all,” says Ron Branchini, owner of Branchini Sound Inc. of Ithaca, New York. And he would know. Since 1992, Branchini and his crew of six have provided sound, lighting, and staging support for a wide variety of events, including small corporate gatherings, large outdoor festivals and concerts attended by up to 50,000 people, and countless well-known national and regional touring acts.

To satisfy the broad needs of his clients he relies on McCauley Sound’s line array systems, specifically their large format Monarc MLA6s and MLA5s, along with the midsize Monarc MLA3s. He also employs McCauley’s M.LINE compact line array systems. “Line array systems provide the most consistent sound and McCauley does it better than anyone,” Branchini said.

“I’ve worked with McCauley boxes since 2001 – as both a seller and an end user -- and I’ve never been disappointed,” he added. “The sound goes exactly where you want it to and the gear requires very little EQ. Plus it’s lightweight, safe and easy to install, and the craftsmanship is top-notch. Their products really are amazing.”

In addition to being easy to set up and position, line arrays provide the most complete coverage while maintaining sound quality and vocal integrity.
But Branchini has been impressed with more than just McCauley Sound’s products.

“One of the reasons I went with the McCauley gear is because of their devotion to personal service,” said Branchini. “Since I was planning to spend hundreds of thousands of dollars

on equipment, I looked closely at a lot of different companies, but McCauley’s customer service is unbeatable. They’ve gone out of their way to support me when I needed it and I appreciate that. In an industry not known for its after-sale service, McCauley stands out.”

Branchini says that he emphasizes the same kind of customer service in his business, and he believes it’s one of the main reasons why he’s been able to expand over the past 14 years. “We aim for an equal level of customer service. It’s what helps us out stand out.”

In addition to tour support, Branchini Sound also performs some custom manufacturing and installations. Most notably, they installed the system at the renowned Corning Museum of Glass in Ithaca, which houses the premiere collection of art and historical glass in the world. There they used several McCauley IN.LINE 120s and IN.LINE 90s in the museum’s 750-seat auditorium, which was recently renovated and upgraded.
